Vinterhavn
A fourteen-room hotel in an Aarhus grain store, where the building's cast-iron grid runs straight through the guest rooms and the lobby belongs to the quay rather than to the hotel.

Quiet Materials
Eleven materials, eleven essays, four years of photography — the book we wrote to answer a client who asked why we keep specifying the same lime plaster.
View projectPlaces to live
We film the work because a photograph cannot carry how long the light takes to cross a room.
The film archiveMade in the workshop
Fald Lounge ChairA low lounge chair whose shell is one continuous curve from the seat to the arm, held off the floor on a fine steel frame so that its weight reads only where the body touches it.
Rye Dining TableA dining table whose top and legs are the same 40 mm section of solid oak, joined with a visible through-tenon so the whole construction can be read from a standing position.
Halm BenchA hallway bench with a seat of woven paper cord over a solid ash frame, designed so the weave can be replaced by hand without touching the joinery.
Sæt PendantA pendant of two alabaster discs held a few millimetres apart, so that the light source is never visible and the gap between the stones becomes the fixture's only bright line.
